The various companies of the Select HR Group are aware that privacy is of great importance to its temporary workers, employees, prospective employees, job applicants, clients, suppliers and other visitors to the website. For this reason, in this privacy statement Select HR discusses the processing of your personal data in more detail and confirms that we will always treat and secure it with the utmost care.

4. What do we use your personal data for?

We use the personal data described above for the following purposes:

The processing of your personal data for the above purposes is permitted by the General Data Protection Regulation for the following reasons:

  • The processing may be necessary to comply with a legal obligation incumbent on Select HR;
  • The processing may be necessary for the performance of an agreement between you and Select HR (e.g. employment contract);
  • The processing is lawful if it is necessary to serve the legitimate interests of Select HR, except where your interests outweigh the interests of Select HR;
  • In certain cases, Select HR will proceed with processing thanks to your consent for the purposes described above, insofar as this is in line with the relationship between you and Select HR.

5. Automated decision-making

The processing of your personal data does not include profiling, nor will you be subject to automated decisions by us.

6. How long do we keep personal data?

Select HR retains your personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which we use your data or no longer than strictly necessary to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. The final retention period will therefore always depend on the applicable legislation and the respective purpose for which your data are processed. 7. Do we share your personal data with third parties?

Select HR does not provide your personal data to third parties, except if and to the extent that:

  • This is in performance of our agreement;
  • Select HR is entitled and/or required to do so by law, or is requested by a government agency or law enforcement authority;
  • In Select HR's opinion, this is necessary to protect its rights and/or property, or to prevent a crime and/or to protect the state security or safety of its employees.

In order to provide you with the best services and/or opportunities, it is sometimes required to provide your personal data to a processor to perform certain tasks on our behalf. These processors will only have access to the personal data they need to perform their tasks. Furthermore, the processor may not use this data for any purpose other than that for which it was obtained. Select HR enters into a processing agreement with each processor. This allows Select HR to ensure that each processor provides the required level of data protection and only obtains data necessary to provide the agreed services.

8. Do we send your personal data to countries outside the European Union?

Select HR will send your personal data to countries outside the European Union only if the European Commission considers that an adequate level of protection is provided there and these countries appear on the list of third countries approved by the European Commission. Where this is not the case, Select HR will ensure that the country or international organisation has taken the necessary security measures to ensure the protection of your personal data.

10. Liability

Select HR cannot in any way be held liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of our website, our services and/or the processing of your personal data. You indemnify us in full and hold us harmless for any damages, costs, expenses and losses that may arise from this. If and insofar as Select HR should nevertheless be liable in any way, liability for indirect damages is excluded in any event. Any possible liability is furthermore limited to an amount of € 1,000 per event and € 2,000 per calendar year. Furthermore, our liability shall never exceed the amount paid out by our insurance.

11. What are your rights?

a) Right of access and inspection

You have the right to obtain knowledge of your personal data at any time, free of charge, as well as of the use we make of your personal data in accordance with the provisions in force in the sector.

b) Right to rectification,deletion and restriction

You are free to communicate your personal data to us or not. In addition, you always have the right to request us to correct, supplement or delete your personal data. You cannot object to the processing of personal data that we are required by law to keep and process about you. You may also request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.

c) Right of objection

You also have a right to object to the processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons.

d) Right to transfer data

You have the right to obtain and/or transfer to other controllers your personal data processed by us in structured, common and machine-readable form and in accordance with the provisions in force in the sector.

e) Right to withdraw consent

To the extent that the processing is based on your prior consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent.

Exercise of your rights

To exercise your rights, you may contact us by letter or by mail at the mail address privacy@select-group.be. To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you, we are obliged to verify your identity and ask you to send a copy of the front of your identity document with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo and MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport). This copy will be destroyed immediately after verification of your identity. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as soon as possible and certainly within four weeks of your request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Rue du Printing Press 35, 1000 Brussels).

12. How we secure personal data

Select HR takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact one of our offices immediately or via privacy@select-group.be.

13. Changes

In case of changes to this privacy statement, we will always publish it on Select HR's website. All material changes will be published by appropriate notifications on this website or through other communication channels.
